COINS & BANKNOTES

Getting started with a U.S. coin collection

Start by deciding what you want to collect: a denomination, a design series, or coins that tell a personal story. You do not need rare coins to begin.

Record each coin's date, mint mark, denomination, condition notes, and where it came from. Photograph both sides in even light against a simple background.

Store coins in suitable holders and avoid cleaning them, since cleaning can damage surfaces and reduce collector interest. Identification and value estimates should be verified before buying or selling.

Coin & Note Collector is designed to help organize your finds and review details before saving them.
